City tour: Capital city of Misiones, located at 300 km of Pto. Iguazu. This city offers many and varied touristic attractives, like visiting the Historical Center, Community Park, The Botanic Park, Coastal Touring and the international bridge "Roque González".
This city also offers a great historical background. The archeological museum "Andres Guacurarí" offers a large collection of artifacts belonging to the "Jesuit-Guaranític Period". At the "Regional Historical Museum - Aníbal Cambas" we can find objects and documentation related to the prehistoric period of the province. Most of them related to the main activity of the area, which is the cultivation of "Yerba Mate".
Another interesting and pictorial place is "Bajada Vieja" which used to be the old center of the city.
Not far away from the city of Pasadas, at only 60 km through the 12th road, the Jesuit ruins of "San Ignacio" can be visited all together with the house of Horacio Quiroga and the Teyú Cuaré crag.
Other touristic city's that can be visited on the 12th road are "Puerto Rico" (72km from Posadas) were the Swiss Inn offers great accommodations and traditional meals and "Montecarlo", capital of the Orchids.
Obera is located at 100km from Posadas. At Obera the "Nations Park" can be visited, were collectivities from all over the world expose their traditions, home made food and handcrafted art. |

The Ibera Lagoon is located at the center of the province of Corrientes. The Parana, Uruguay and Corrientes rivers form these wetlands. These area forms the most important reserve of Argentina, due to the fact that it's 1.300.000 hectares are the home for more than 350 species of birds, the Marsh Deer, the river Otters, Yacare´s and Capybaras among other species.
Activities: Off road driving through sand and "Ñau" mud till "Carlos Pelegrini" town, photographic safari, boat ride through the marshes for wildlife watching, jungle walk's and horse riding (optional).
Accommodations include, private bathroom, swimming pool and 4 meals (beverages not included). |

These falls are located at the San Pedro region, east central part
of the province.
The falls itself are located in the Uruguay river, in
between the Yaboti and the Pepiri-Guazu streams. Its length varies
from 2 to 5 km, and its height varies from 8 to 10m or 20 to 30m,
depending on the river level.
These falls can be accessed through the 12th or the
16th roads.
The tentative itinerary to carry out departures from
Posadas, headed to the "El Soberbio" town.
During the itinerary we will be able to visit the San Ignacio's
Ruins, Santa Ana's Ruins, and have a chance to appreciate the
wealth of the province of Misiones.
Once we have arrived at the "El Soberbio"
town, passengers will be accommodated in a 3 stars lodging giving
them time to know the area and to regain strengths after a good
rest.
On the next day they will departure on board of 4WD transports,
guided by a park ranger towards the Mocona falls.
The tour inside the falls is done with a zodiac
speedboat, which allows visitors to appreciate from inside the
river all the splendor of these falls. As this is a full day trip,
a light lunch o "Asado" (barbeque) with
"Mandioca" (local potatoes) can be arranged.
On the third day the will travel through the 20th and the 17th
road to the city of Iguazu. Before getting into iguazu, they visit
"El Dorado" the third most significant city of the
province, were they will have lunch. Through all the way to Iguazu
they will have several chances to observe the Indian reserves and
the vast plantations of Te, Yerba Mate, Citrus and Conifers.
Just a few kilometers before entering Iguazu they'll
visit the open sky mines of precious stone of "Wanda".
These program could be done the other way round
starting from Iguazu, included one or two nights of lodging,
typical meal "asado" and the speedboat tour at the
falls. |
